Hi Fundy, what a useful article on a little explored topic. Finally I understand the advice I’ve been given from time to time, about “shooting for the album”. If you know in advance your page design, you can shoot for it and work that into the plan for the day. Just a quick note, in the UK, I’ve noticed in the last year people are starting to ask for matted albums again. Perhaps the market is getting saturated with flush mount…

Great tips, but it sounds bit pricey to me. I mean how do you sell a $900 album after charging $2500-$3000 for a wedding (or less in the case of a family portrait)? Isn’t better to try and offer ‘a package deal’?
